Our shelter is still open for victims of domestic violence.
We are using precautions, and “social distancing” to ensure residents and staff stay well, and that the services needed are being provided to all.
24-hour emergency hotline for the victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
We provide assessments, services, and referrals when needed to both clients in our shelter as well as non-residential clients. Services include domestic violence and parenting classes, court advocacy, and support groups.
We provide a safe place for battered women and children. Families receive assistance with clothing, food, and referrals for other needs. Donations (I.e. clothing and hygiene products ) are always welcome to help meet the needs of our clients.
Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program allows a rape victim to have complete privacy during this vital examination with a confidential space. Clothing and personal products are provided for free. An advocate will be there to provide support and comfort.
We work with other groups within the community to make sure victims get all they need. We do have outreach services that are used to help inform the community of what we do as well as what domestic violence is and the issue within the community.
We recruit and train volunteers to deliver both direct and indirect services for clients of SOS.
